Pages and contact

Alongside your products, most stores need a few standing pages: an about page, a shipping or returns page, and a way to get in touch. These build trust and answer common questions before they turn into emails.

Add a page

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Pages.
2. Click Add page.
3. Give it a title and add your text, images, or video.
4. Save, then add the page to your menu so shoppers can find it.

Pages are the right home for information that rarely changes, like your story, your materials, or your policies.

Tip

An honest about page does more selling than it gets credit for. Shoppers buy from people they trust, so a few real sentences about who you are and why you make what you make can tip a hesitant visitor into a customer.

Add a contact page

Every Shopify theme includes a contact form, and Backline styles it to match the rest of your store. To turn a page into a contact page:

1. Create a page and give it a title, such as Contact us.
2. Add any text you want above the form, like your response times or where you ship.
3. In the Online store section, set the Theme template to contact.
4. Save, and add the page to your menu.

Tip

Set expectations right on the page. A line like “we reply within two business days” reassures shoppers and saves you from follow-up messages asking whether their note arrived.

Make your pages easy to find

Add your key pages to your header or footer menu. An about page and a contact page in the footer are what shoppers instinctively look for, and having them there makes your store feel complete and trustworthy.
